Time to begin posting...

Activities so far this year were:

   1. Marble Mount near Concrete WA. from what I heard it was wet and  everyone tried out their inclement weather gear and fired off a few rounds and of course enjoyed each others companionship.

  2.  Fort Lewis McChord military base was up next with all the different types of Reenactors from Medieval to current all to REMEMBER THE FALLEN AND VETERANS OF ALL COUNTRYS. There were battles between all the different groups and it was interesting to see the different styles of formations and movements. And we also mot a chance to fire off some rounds...

    3. Battle at Port Gamble WA. was another Damp weekend with the TEFLON coated BLUE BELLY'S (how come they hardly ever get hit and fall down???) with their cannon up on a hill and CSA Troops and Cannons at the bottom of the hill in a swamp of mud and grass. But we showed them by advancing with our guns and even retaking an over run gun back from the Boy's in Blue ...

4. Battle at Willamette Mission OR. was a coming together of some of the Washington reenactors with the Oregon group. What fun we had ,weather was nice and I believe it was 7 CSA guns and howitzers.and the nice thing about it was   NO THREE MINUTE RULE .. which meant rapid firing was used at times.
Bugle  signals, rifle shots, cannons roaring, what a weekend we had !!!
The other nice thing was we managed to get 3 rounds off in 57 seconds even with some of us not used to their new position on the gun , and furthermore WE WERE THE FASTEST OF THE FIELD GUNS in a competition which also included a howitzer with a 3 foot barrel (takes less time to service and load.)

Next post will be in two weeks time all about battle at Hovender Farm , Ferndale WA>
